What is the father’s love?

The father’s love encapsulates many things such as sacrifice, patience, kindness, honesty, forgiveness, faithfulness, selflessness, mercy, and compassion. The father’s love shows in giving, giving his best and giving his all to his family.

The father’s love provides security, protection, and leadership, amongst many other positive attributes. There are many things that the Father’s love gives. John 15:9

Jesus came as a representative of the Father’s love. He demonstrated His love by becoming a man, born to die for the sins of the world. In the beginning, God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son as a substitutionary sacrifice for the sins of the world. For this reason, God became man and dwelt amongst us.

The Bible gave an account that the Holy Spirit overshadowed Mary, the vehicle by which our Saviour came to this world, thus showing the Father’s love. The Father’s love also demonstrated great humility, as Jesus was not born in the palace, but in a manger, thus showing us an example of great humility.

The Holy Spirit put God in the womb of a virgin – what a miraculous event!
